Magazine & Book Request Information


If you are interested in requesting a Japanese magazine or book, we would be glad to find you a copy of the publication. If you are a registered member of our website, simply go to your My Account page and fill our to form available to make your request. 

If you are not a registered member (or are not currently logged into your account), you can simply email us or send us a message through the Contact Us page. In your message, please include the name of the magazine/book and the issue/volume you want.

Back Issues
If you are requesting a back issue of a magazine, please let us know if you are okay with having your request filled by a used copy. Our priority in finding your requested item is finding a new copy. However, if we are unable to find a new copy, a used copy that may or may not have minor damage (e.g., slight ware, scratches, folded edges) will be used to fill your request.

Unfortunately, because of budget restraints, we can no longer fill requests for magazines that are more than a month old.

Inability To Fill A Request
If we are unable to acquire the item you request, we will email you to let you know, otherwise, your request will be added to our upcoming vendor order. We do not fill requests for pornographic publications.
When Your Request Arrives
When Your request arrives, it will be put on a private listing on our website. We will email you with information regarding your request (the listing link, your ID, price, weight, expiration date). To purchase your request, select your ID from the drop down box and the listing and the listing to our shopping cart.

The expiration date of your request is seven (7) days after it was listed. If you need extra time to make your purchase just let us know. For requests that have not been purchased by expiration date, they will be put on a public listing for any customer to buy.

Item Price
The actual price of an item is based on the exchange rate at the time we make our vendor order. The best we can give you at the time you make a request or inquiry is a price estimate. Please be aware that the price of your request when it arrives can be up to $1 cheaper or more expensive than the estimate, it all depends on the exchange rate. We will try to keep the requested item's price as close to the estimate as we can, though.

Canceling A Request
If you need to cancel an item in your request or your whole request, let us know as soon as possible. Failure to claim two requests, without notification of cancellation, will result in a refusal to fill any of your requests. This policy applies retroactively.
